Description
In this auction is a VERY UNCOMMON VEE JAY LP.
Here are the details:
-
“INTRODUCING THE BEATLES” LP by The Beatles
-
This is Vee Jay Records VJLP 1062.
-
It was released beginning February, 1964.
-
This is Version 2 of this LP with column back cover that includes the cuts “Ask Me Why” and “Please Please Me” which replaced “Love Me Do” and “P.S. I Love You” which are on Version 1 of this LP.
-
The UNIQUE FEATURE of the record in this auction is that it has MISMATCHED VEE JAY LABELS. The Side 1 Label has the Vee Jay Oval Logo with color band, but the Side 2 Label has the Vee Jay Brackets Logo with color band!!!
-
I have had Vee Jay 45RPM records with mismatched labels, but I’ve only seen 1 mismatched labels on a Vee Jay LP before this one in 40 years of vinyl collecting.
-
In fact, this label variation is NOT NOTED in the Price Guide for the Beatles American Records by Perry Cox and Frank Daniels.
-
BOTH COVER and VINYL are ABSOLUTELY AUTHENTIC! So you can bid with confidence that you are receiving the real deal and not a counterfeit.
-
The COVER is in VG + CONDITION. There is light to moderate overall wear. There is small light crease at the lower left corner and a small corner push/bump that caused a small crease at the top right corner. The seams and spine are strong with NO flaking. The primarily white rear cover is quite clean with very light signs of aging.
-
The VINYL is in G+ (Good Plus) to VG- (Very Good Minus) CONDITION. There are a large number of surface hairlines/scuffs, but none are deep enough to feel. However, there are 3 or 4 tiny bumps in the vinyl that I can feel; therefore, those may cause some skips, thus the grading it has. But the vinyl is still quite glossy. “AUDIOMATRIX” is partially stamped in the trail-off on both sides. But it’s The mismatched VJ labels make this vinyl a real collector’s item, for sure!
This RARE VEE JAY RECORD can be a part of your vinyl collection!
