********************************* It appears that Abbey Road, recorded in the summer of 1969, has over the years worked its way to the top of the list as the groups most sought after album.
The superb performances make the album an artistic high point for all members of the group. Paul McCartney inspired the suite of songs that begins with "You Never Give Me Your Money" and fill most of the second half of Abbey Road blending seamlessly into one another.
George Harrison had his first A-side on a Beatles' single ("Something") ; John Lennon contributed a pair of heavy rockers ("Come Together" and "I Want You") ; and Ringo Starr's "Octopus's Garden" was a favourite with children while “She Came In Through The Bathroom Window” is simply a classic.

CONDITION : - see 8 photos above
Vinyl - play-tested completely both sides : A magnificent copy. Tracks through fantastic both sides with no pops, clicks, skips or background noise. No marks whatsoever. No lead in-out noise. No hiss or noise between songs.
The vinyl is quite a heavyweight compared to most copies one sees and chimes in at a healthy 132 grams. This copy has clearly received very little play indeed and my careful full play-checks at volume found no evidence of any groove/play wear on any track.
This would without doubt be the cleanest copy I have ever seen and, even under a strong halogen light, is impossible to fault.
Overall you would be hard pressed to find a better 1st issue unless sealed and is worthy of a Near Mint rating in my book.
Labels : Clean. No marks, scuffs, writing or sticker residue. Both sides appear as new with the text remaining clear and unfaded. No spindle trails. Perfect !
Sleeve : the laminated sleeve is brilliant. No writing. No marks. No splits. No ring-wear. No creases. The spine corners are square while the two 'entrance' corners show minimal handling wear. Fantastic gloss. No ring-wear and the spine is ‘near new’. Very difficult to find fault with and a real beauty.
