Description
An original PSX1 on the Apple label from 1970. Matrix 2U/2U [very first press]. The vinyl is consistent with all attributes of a genuine 1st press - just as 'Let It Be' hit the shops. Also included in this listings is....An original 'made in England' inner sleeve. The original record cover with very 1st issue Red Apple label on the rear. An original 160+ page book. The box is still present and can be described as follows...Original outer box made by G&L patents pending is still present. The internal section which sits within the outer box is original and present [it has the round cornered flaps]. The tray which sits within this section is not original - we have a reproduction replacement as most of the original ones disintegrated quickly.
Vinyl (Ex+) In fantastic condition and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. And it really is a treat to hear LIB play quite this sweetly. Due to the paired down low-key audio on LIB it is very very hard to find a truly clean playing copy. I am pleased to report that this copy is preserved to a very high standard and I have not heard LIB sound quite this clean - EVER. The beautiful clear transparent audio delivered is mighty impressive. Interference is practically non-existent. All we could detect was a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments - and that really is all. Yes, it really is a keeper in every sense and one that would be nigh on impossible to better.
Cover (Ex+) Again, for whatever reason LIB covers seem to be a real struggle to find in top condition. This example, thankfully, is a home-run all the way. I have never seen it looking quite this flat, flush, uncreased as this example. Front and back are close on perfect. We can only make out super light handling. Edge wear is non-existent and it feels as crisp as the day it rolled out of the printers. The spine is perfect 100% intact. So, do seriously consider this copy as you will not better this sleeve - period.
Book (Ex) In lovely condition and fully intact. It is not a heavily thumbed example. It is in well above average condition. Slight scuff to bottom of the spine, but that's really all I can make out.
Inner (Ex) Very little ageing. No splits or markings.
Box (Vg+) Front and back surfaces are impressive with minimal creasing - much better than average. There's a bit of wear on the sides as you would expect and a split up at one end. But nothing overtly noticeable. The interior section is in pretty good condition too with both round cornered flaps present and fully attached [just a bit of wear]. The tray, as mentioned above, is a replica - and therefore looks better than the given grading [unsurprisingly].
