Description
Original Parlophone release of the Beatles first single "Love Me Do" released in 1962
VG condition, there is light background noise throughout, more noticeable in the B side "PS I Love You". "Love Me Do" is so loud that the bit of background noise doesn't really spoil it

I bought this just to hear the Ringo On Drums version!
After the Beatles recorded the song, George Martin insisted on another session with Andy White on drums and Ringo demoted to tambourine.
A myth evolved that the Ringo on drums version had never been released, as George Martin preferred the Andy White version. Ringo even commented in the Anthology TV series that his version hadn't been used. (Andy White's version was used on the Please Please Me album, EPs, compilations and reissues of the single)
At some point the myth was busted and it was determined that the original Parlophone single was in fact the earlier version, with Ringo playing drums, not tambourine
