THE BEATLES - 'LOVE ME DO'/'P.S. I LOVE YOU'
This historic early UK 1st pressing dates from October 1962 release on the red Parlophone label: 45-R 4949
Both labels omit the 'Made In Gt. Britain' text.
The earliest 'ZT' purchase tax code is present in the centre of the 'Love Me Do' label & in both run-outs.
Matrices: 7XCE 17144-1N & 7XCE 17145-1N
Stamper codes: 1/G & 1/M
Housed in its original 'beach-striped' Parlophone company sleeve.
CONDITION
Labels: 1. GOOD 2. VERY GOOD
As you can see, there is some writing & general wear to the 'Love Me Do' label, but the other side is clean & unblemished.
Visual: GOOD
Both sides are clean but display the general surface wear associated with a disc of this age - mainly light wispy hairlines and and a few light turntable scuffs. The disc has a slight uneven edge visible when playing but this does not affect sound or play in any way.
Audio: EXCELLENT
Despite having been played a number of times, the sound is remarkably strong & unworn with no groovewear or any significant interference. 'Love Me Do' plays beautifully and never sounded better than on this 45 and even more so due to its earliest 1/G stamper. You won't be disappointed.
Cover: VERY GOOD
General storagewear with some writing in the corners but no tears or seam splits.
