Description
An original 1st stereo press of MMT on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 1/2/1/1. Please note both labels mention the 'Sold In The U.K...' statement - this is indicative of 1st issue. The vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold cover. Please note there are no blue lyric pages in the middle - they are ABSENT.
Vinyl (D1 - Vg/Vg+ ..D2 Vg/Vg+) Looks in decent condition and hasn't been overplayed. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks per side - nothing heavy though. Overall playback is decent, but do expect expect a bit of static in places. MMT [T1] exhibits a few ticks, 'Fool On The Hill' exhibits a bit of static crackle, and a couple of crackles as 'Blue Jay' starts up. Other than that expect a pretty decent rendition. Certainly not for the uber fussy - but will more than satisfy most folk looking for a basic level of playback.
Cover (Vg+) Might grade higher, but for the fact that those four blue lyric pages are missing. Lovely clean front and back with very little creasing at all. Edge wear is very light and the spine is in unusually fine form. All interior pages are present and do not look heavily thumbed. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
