Description

An original 1st stereo press of MMT on UK Parlophone. Matrix 1/2/1/1. Note the labels mention 'Sold In The UK' - this must be present to claim 1st press. The vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover with 24 page booklet. Please note the internal lyric pages are - BLUE - in colour. The cover was later reissued with yellow pages - BLUE is the 1st issue design. We also have both wavy topped inner sleeves. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In great condition and have only seen light use. A couple of very light marks per side - but these copies are looking pretty tidy. And this is good news - because many copies have been butchered down the years! Actually finding a decent clean playing copy is not as easy as you might think. I'm often left a bit disappointed with these MMT copies. But this particular copy is certainly bucking the trend - I really like it. It plays clean throughout - mostly EXCELLENT with one slight deviation. A couple of isolated crackles on the intros to the 3rd & 4th sides. Very little in reality. It's a well above average player. I only noticed a brief low level rumble just before Walrus starts up. As soon as the opening organ chimes ring in - it disappears. So that's cool! Overall a great little player which is difficult to find fault with.
Cover (VG+) Looks in great condition with precious little ageing or wear on the front and rear. The only issue on the rear is that the cover's taken a bit of a knock on the top edge leaving a small patch of laminate lift [no big deal]. The interior seems to have avoided the worst of the ageing process - just some light handling. All pages are present and correct - and still stapled in. Edge wear is relatively light and the spine is in excellent order. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inners (VG+) Light ageing. A few creases. No splits.
