Description

An original 1st UK press of MMT on the Parlophone label. Just remember that MMT was originally released in the UK as TWO 7 inch eps. In the USA MMT was released in '67 in LP format. Parlophone, eventually, realised they were missing a trick - and released in LP format for the first time in 1976. 1st pressings are distinguishable from later 80's copies by the 'EMI' text in the perimeter text on the label. Matrix 1/1. The vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover with the photo pages stapled in. Thankfully the booklet has actually stayed secured on this example [it usually detaches]. We also have an original EMI inner sleeve from the time too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) Absolutely superb and has clearly only seen light use. I can see one single light mark in 'Walrus'. Fully tested - I cannot make out anything entering the audio spectrum [phew!] . A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. If out and out audio performance is your thing - then you should take a close look at this one. It might come from 5 years after the Beatles had come to a tumultuous end - but the audio is pretty darn good for mid-seventies. You wanna hear all that intricate percussion work - all the low-key sound effects...you're going to need a really sweet copy. And I'm pleased to report that's exactly what we have here. A low mileage copy that has been looked after very carefully. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and clean and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. It plays clean throughout . All I could detect was a couple of crackles in a couple of spots per side. But you won't be finding a cleaner player anytime soon. Highly recommended!
Cover (Ex-) A total to pain to find in top class condition - for a variety of reasons. What is immediately apparent and likeable - the outer cover is unaged, totally clean/smooth, and exhibiting very little wear. There's a little bit of edge wear [along bottom edge of right hand panel]  and the openings are still sharp and firm. The spine is 100% intact - with slightest ageing. The photo pages in the interior are all still stapled together and attached FULLY to the cover. A bit of light ageing is apparent. but nothing overtly obvious. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Lightly aged. No splits.
