The Beatles - Please Please Me/Ask Me Why - 1963 - Parlophone - 45R 4983
An identical single was sold on eBay recently with the same matrix information etched on the record. That seller said it was first pressing, so I am assuming mine is too!
As you can see from the photos, the sleeve is rather tatty.
The original owner also stuck a bit of tape on the label with his/her name written on ('Moe'.) I've tried to gently pull this off without success. You might be able to remove it with a little steam (or you can leave it on - it's authentic!)
This record has clearly been played a lot over the last 57 years, and the surface of the vinyl can best be described as 'used.' (see photos)
Even so, it's an original piece of music history!
