Description

An original 3rd press for the UK market. These are about as early as you can go without getting into mega $$$ 1st pressings....Matrix 1N/1N. Label design is consistent with 3RD Press. No 'Sold In UK' and No 'Recording 1st pub'. This is, effectively, the 1st iteration of the black and yellow design. HEAVY WEIGHT VINYL. The vinyl comes housed in an original cover by E J Day. We also have the Emitex inner totally intact! So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex-/Vg+) In great condition particularly when you consider the vintage. A couple of marks per side that are visible not feelable. And remember these grooves are DEEP. So, there's nothing that will trouble it - in reality. A thorough testing from  beginning to end reveals a NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback through out...VERY impressive for this early vintage. A couple of minor deviations per side. Some crackle in the gap before Boys starts [not in track]. A couple of ticks in one spot per side. E.g. Anna. Nothing problematic nothing undesirable. It plays great. It plays clean - particularly when you consider the vintage. Even into the lowkey numbers. It's mono It's super deep grooved. If you want a fab PPM copy this could well be it. And if you wanted to go a month earlier....you are into the mega money territory.
Cover (Vg) Well preserved - clean and flat front. A bit of edge wear- but nothing that noticeable. The rear has avoided the worst of the ageing process - slight grubbiness in a couple of spots. Slight wear at corners. Spine 80% intact. Really nice without the usual signs of ageing. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Original. A bit aged. But bag is present and no splits.
