Description

An original early 4th Mono press on UK Parlophone label. Matrix 1N/1N. Tax Code 'MKT'. Labels are correct 4th.... with NO 'Sold In The UK'. 'Parlophone' at perimeter and 'Record 1st Pub' IS present. Which means it would have probably been on for sale early summer 1963 [at the height of Beatlemania]. The heavy-set vinyl comes in an original 1963 Mono cover by E J Day. We also have the original Emitex inner with 'patent pending'. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete. 
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen light careful use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of lightest marks per side, and one superficial trail -  but nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. I really couldn't recommend it more highly for audio. In terms of a clean background it would give a mint 90's copy a run for its money. Just think about the passage of time though. The vibrancy and energy in these early pressings is just phenomenal. Hardly any sign of background even in the quieter tracks on side 2. At worst a couple of minor ticks in 'Anna' - just mentioning to be hyper critical. Lovin' it. Highly recommended. i very much doubt you will manage to track down a better quality player.
Cover (Vg+) Very nice relatively unaged front with just a couple of creases in a couple of spots and a couple of stress creases at the edge. The rear is in pretty decent condition. Many of these original '63 copies will be pretty aged by this point in time. This one seems to have avoided much of the ageing process. Under close inspection expect a few light blemishes in the odd spot, but nothing upfront or unpalatable. Flipbacks are secure, but exhibit a wee bit of wear. Spine is 99% intact - sweet! Overall the cover still retains verygood rigidity. Nice!
Inner (Ex-) Light ageing. No spits. Bag present. tidy!
