Description
An original 4th press of PPM on the UK Parlophone label from 1963. Matrix 1N/1N. Please note the labels do not exhibit the 'Sold in The UK' statement which first appears in 1964. The heavy vinyl comes housed in an original Ernest J Day cover - which is typical of the earlier copies. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex-) In great condition and has only seen light to moderate use. Do expect several light marks either side, nothing heavy or troublesome, but don't be expecting a perfect sheen! A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. The mono audio powers through and this is a more than enjoyable rendition. Interference is minor and infrequent. All we could detect was a touch of static in a couple of isolated moments, and one or two light ticks. So, very little to complain at in reality.
Cover (Vg+) In nice condition and has clearly been looked after. The front is nice and shiny, but exhibits a crease in the top-left corner and a couple of heavier ones in the bottom-right. The rear, which is usually the problem area, has actually avoided the worst of the ageing process. There's a touch in places and a couple of tiny marks. Flipbacks are all secure and edge wear is relatively light. The text on the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover still retains excellent rigidity.
