THE BEATLES *PLEASE PLEASE ME* RARE 3RD MONO PRESS
On offer here is a VERY RARE UK original 1963 mono3rd pressing of the Please Please Me LP by The Beatles with the extra 33 1/3 text on both labels!!! This is the very first pressing on the yellow & black Parlophone label after the original Gold & Black pressings!!! The labels on this pressing have ‘The Parlophone Co’ rims but do not have the ‘Recording First Published’ text, and also they do not have the ‘Sold In UK’ text (see photos) but they do have the extra small ‘33 1/3’, identifying it as a very rare third press!!!!! This copy comes in a correct VERY RARE FIRST ISSUE laminated Ernest J Day sleeve with the Angus McBean credit in the lower right corner of the front cover (see photo!!)
The matrix numbers are Side 1 – XEX 421-1N & Side 2 – XEX 422-1N. Tax code: MZT.
Catalogue number is PMC 1202. Mothers & stampers are: Side 1 – 1RG & Side 2 – 1 RA. The record is visually very strictly graded in VG- condition, there are quite a few hairline marks & scratches on both sides. The original flipback laminated EJ Day cover is also very strictly graded in GOOD++ condition with tearing and some general wear and creasing. The labels are nice with no tears or writing on them. There is some spindle wear, most evident on Side 1.Comes with original Emitex inner sleeve in pretty good condition
