NOTE about reflections in Photos: the pictures were taken outdoors, to take advantage of natural sunlight. As a result, reflections of the sky, clouds and trees are often visible in the photos of the shiny vinyl surfaces.

Matrices:

Side One: XEX 579 - 6 1 over 0 (at 3 o’clock) 1 (at 9 o’clock) HTM [9/81 inner sleeve]

Side Two: XEX 580 - 5 8 (at 3 o’clock) 4 (at 9 o’clock) [Yellow & Black Parlophone label, “MONO” on label ]

Vinyl Grade: Near Mint. When examined under a bright light, I see NO spindle marks on Side One label, and two very faint spindle marks on Side Two label. Please see close-up photos of the labels. A beautiful example of this rare limited issue 1981 Mono LP.

Cover Grade: Neat Mint Minus. Very nice example, a couple of creases (see photos), No fading, excellent corners, no seam-splits, but it has shelf-wear along the bottom edge. Looks like the beginning of a seam-split, but it is still solid. If you hold the cover up to a light, and look inside the cover at the seam, there is no light shining through, so there is no "split". The record will be safely secured outside the cover during shipping to prevent any damage.

Inner Sleeve: VG+. Original shaped paper EMI "Made in Great Britain" inner sleeve, dated 9/81. Has a split on the right side and the bottom. No discoloration or other issues. LP is stored in an audiophile poly-sleeve for protection.

Notes: A beautiful example of this UK Mono pressing from 1981. Hard to believe it is 35 years old now, and still appears like it was made yesterday. I also have the 1981 UK mono LP of "A Hard Day's Night" available (as of this writing) and several of the Beatles 1982 Japanese red wax mono pressings, please see my other listings.

Packaging (open LPs): The album will be removed from the cover to eliminate the possibility of seam-splits. The LP and cover are placed in a clear outer protective sleeve, and sealed. The album is then sandwiched between two large cardboard stiffener pads, carefully centered and taped together. This keeps the LP stationary and the album cover centered, allowing the oversized cardboard reinforcement pads to protect the edges and corners of the cover from dings.

The album “sandwich” is then packaged with bubble-wrap and Styrofoam peanuts in an oversize box. The box is large enough that it should easily withstand even being dropped directly on its corner without damaging the cover inside. I know very well what it is like to receive poorly packaged records, so I am careful to make sure your album is well packaged and arrives safely.

Tracking: You should automatically receive your Tracking Number by email when the Shipping Label is printed.
