This superb sounding UK 2nd mono pressing dates form late 1966 on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 7009
Both have the 'Sold in UK...' text and 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims with the 'Dr. Robert' spelling on 2.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is present in the centre of the side 1 label

Stamper codes: 5/GMH & 3/TA
Vinyl weight: 163g
Housed in a front laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover, complete with original 'Patents Applied For...' inner-sleeve.

A clean & bright set bearing just a handful of light spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: MINT
Immaculate, factory-fresh playing surfaces which are unmarked both in strong daylight AND directly beneath halogen light.
Audio: MINT -
It's very hard to find a good sounding mono pressing of this album, but thankfully this copy has been played just a couple of times on top quality equipment just a couple of times. As a result the sound is perfectly clean & clear throughout with no trace of any groove/playwear distortion or the crackle which blight so many copies of this amazing album. Even the most easily worn tracks such as 'Eleanor Rigby' and 'Here, There & Everywhere' play without interference. Apart from a little regular vinyl background on the run-ins, this is a flawless sounding copy which would be hard to beat.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A clean & strong example with a clean & white front panel without any 'thumbnail' wrinkles or any other creasing. There is slight bruising to the right corner tips but both opening edges are clean & unworn. The rear panel is clean & black where it should be with no ringwear but with small 'ticks' in blue ballpoint pen aside each track. Both flipbacks are fully intact and both seams and the spine are unworn.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Some natural toning to the paper but otherwise clean & fully intact.
