Description

Rubber Soul 2nd press from around the time of release in 1965 on UK Parlophone. Matrix -4/-4. Heavy set vinyl. The Lp comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve.
Vinyl (Ex) In beautiful condition and has clearly only seen light use down the years. Under close inspection we could barely make out a single mark either side. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity and minimal interference. We only detected a few light static crackles in a few isolated moments e.g. Michelle. This is one seriously well preserved record and I can't imagine a better rendition could be had from any later copy. These early copies are truly unbeatable....
Cover (Ex) Shiny front which is almost mirror like and a rear, unusually, which is almost entirely free from ageing. Edge wear is negligible too. The only vaguely noticeable defect is a small tear in the bottom right hand corner which has been repaired with clear tape - it's been done so well it is very hard to make out! Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and the text on the spine is mostly visible.
Inner (Ex-) Minimal ageing, no splits, bit of writing in two small areas.
