Description

A Rubber Soul 2nd press on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 4/4. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse printed cover. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve.
Vinyl (Ex+) Wowzers this really is unbelievably nice looking and clearly has only seen the lightest use. Under close inspection there are a couple of ultra-light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. It's not often you can say that 'Michelle' plays back perfectly with out any back ground at all - but this is really is superbly preserved. The audio is of the highest quality and I seriously doubt you will manage to better it on anything other than a sealed copy. The only imperfections we detected the whole way through, and this is very very minor, were....At the end of the outro to 'The Word' there is a tiny manufacturing dimple. This causes a couple of what can only be described as very low-level heart beats/murmurs. Almost inaudible, but I need to be fully transparent. Also, at the end of Michelle there are two very light ticks. And that is really all we could detect by putting it through a very tough examination.
Cover (Ex+) Try finding another front cover like this one! Blimey - there are no creases and it is has a mirror shiny surface. The rear is totally free of fade, but there are a couple of finger prints just noticeable. And then someone has autographed it in the top-right. Other than this you are talking one supremely well preserved cover. It has the feel of a new cover - not bad for 1965! Perfect, perfect rigidity in the cover and the spine is 100% intact.
Inner (Vg)  A bit aged, bit no serious splits.
