Description

An original 2nd press of Rubber Soul on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 4/4. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Ernest J Day cover [earlier copies tended to have an EJ Day cover]. 
Vinyl (Ex+) In absolutely superbly preserved record and has only seen the lightest of use. Under close inspection there are a coupe of light marks either side. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. This is most certainly one of the best preserved copies of RS I've auditioned. The audio quality is terrific and you can forget about going any better, as this is pretty much as good as it gets. Even 'Michelle' plays clean and that is not always an easy find. Interference is minimal. All we detected was a couple of crackles toward the end of  'What Goes On' and very little else at all.
Cover (Ex) In great shape and has been looked after down the years. Lovely shiny front with almost no creasing evident at all. The rear, which is often the let down area, is in remarkable condition and has almost entirely avoided ageing. No nasty marks or creases. Edge wear is very light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover maintains excellent rigidity. Difficult to imagine improving on this copy...
