Description
I am selling BEATLES LPs (duplicates) from my collection. So, please check my other auctions.
IN THIS AUCTION:
· “RUBBER SOUL” by the Beatles
· This LP is Capitol Records T - 2442.
· This is a MONO (Monaural) PRESSING.
· This LP was issued in 1966.
· This is a SECOND PRESSING MONO COPY of the LP. This is indicated by perimeter label print without “subsidiary” and the addition of the band name “The Beatles” between the LP title and the names of the group members. The 1st pressings omit “The Beatles” on the labels.
· The COVER is a Capitol-marked cover and the cover cardboard construction with front cover slick overlapping the rear slick is the correct cover to go with this 1966 pressing. The number “5” is printed on the rear cover at bottom right which indicates that this LP was pressed at Capitol’s Los Angeles’ plant. The number “5” was printed on covered issued 1964 through 1966. The COVER contains the CORRECT Vinyl pressing.
· NOTE: Some sellers will switch vinyl and covers either intentionally or accidentally in order to create a mismatched near mint item to sell. I don’t do that. This is the correct cover and vinyl for this pressing/issue.
· The COVER is graded NEAR MINT MINUS. It is in the SHRINK WRAP, though the shrink wrap has tape on it along the top edge, top left corner and bottom right corner. Apparently a previous owner taped it when it split. NOTE: THE TAPE IS ON THE SHRINK WRAP; IT IS NOT STUCK TO THE COVER! I know because I tried to slide it to be sure and the shrink wrap taped together did slide. There is some light wear on the edge where the shrink wrap receded a bit and on the bottom right corner. There are also 2 small “pushes” on the bottom edge and a bit of red marker on the shrink on the ride side near the opening. Red marker is on the shrink NOT on the cover.
· The VINYL is GRADED VERY STRONG VG+ to NEAR MINT MINUS. There are some light surface hairlines/scuffs.
· This LP comes with its ORIGINAL CAPITOL INNER SLEEVE that has a 1-inch split on the bottom and two sides, and these splits have been taped. It looks like the same clear tape that a previous owner used to tape the shrink wrap together.
· A nice ORIGINAL CAPITOL 1966 BEATLES MONO LP to add to your vinyl collection!
