Description

A UK 1st pressing on the Parlophone label from 1965. Matrix 1/1. This is the very first cut of this LP and is often referred to as the 'Loud Cut'. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover with Emitex inner sleeve. So, it's 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg+) Has been well cared for and remains in very nice condition indeed. Under close inspection there are a few marks - nothing nasty or likely to cause significant issue. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a VERYGOOD+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity and only occasional light interference. Firstly, lets be clear about this - this a very very nice cut. Irrespective of the level of use this copy still represents a really nice rendition of 'RS'. The audio has the clarity and warmth only found on those early heavy set pressings from the sixties. Interference is light and pretty infrequent. Expect a touch of static in a couple of sections and the odd crackle - but nothing remotely invasive. It really plays very well.
Cover (Vg) In really nice condition and has clearly been looked after down the years. There's a couple of creases, but nothing really that noticeable. The rear has escaped the usual fading, just a touch here and there and a couple of marks. edge wear is light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A very nice original example.
Emitex (Vg) Light ageing and one 1 inch split to bottom seam.
