The Beatles – Rubber Soul - First stereo pressing (December 3, 1965).
Black/yellow Parlophone logo, with the type being set in Times New Roman (this was later changed to Arial on the second pressings).
Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. or Ernest J.Day & Co. front laminated flipback cover in great condition.
LABELS: A great set of labels showing just a few signs of use. Probably less than 20 plays. Side one carries the KT tax code.  As with all Yex 178-3 pressings (see last pic)
AUDIO: Superb unworn audio with no distortion or groovewear. Very little to fault other than some occasional surface noise in places. Michelle plays superbly. The record does not jump or stick.
VINYL: A superb looking disc of this very rare, withdrawn pressing which retains its original rainbow factory sheen. Side one is in stunning condition with only one small faint mark which appears and disappears according to the angle in which the record is held, even under a harsh halogen desklight nothing much more is revealed – side one has clearly received only a handful of plays in its 58 year history and grades at or around near MINT.Side two has a some ultra faint scuff marks but these are superficial and are the kind which disappear when the record is rotated during inspection; grades at or around near MINT. The vinyl lies dead flat on the turntable (see video).
FRONT COVER: Front Cover has some small creases due to aging but overall an excellent looking front cover (see pics).
BACK COVER: A stunning example of this 1965 1st issue Garrod & Lofthouse cover in excellent condition. There is some slight ageing/yellowing to the front panel which prevents a near MINT grading. The laminate retains it’s original shop fresh high gloss sheen. There are no laminate bends or ‘thumbnail’ creases to any part of the cover. The back panel is in excellent+ condition. All flipbacks are intact. There is no writing or personalization to any part of the cover. The spine is uncrushed with the writing fully legible. Now extremely tough to find in this condition (see pics).
