PMC 1267 LP, Album, Mono, RP, 2nd Parlophone
UK early Mono repress . Remastered by Hazel Yarwood. 579-5 (1-M),580-5 (2-GR). KT embossed side 2. Labels clean and vinyl retains its deep gloss. There are some hairlines but not enough to encroach on the audio which is punchy and hard hitting. You could almost be in the room with the Beatles! Sleeve is in pretty sharp condition with some edgewear and discolouration at the back. Comes with original Emitex inner sleeve.
Discogs Notes :
The Second pressing of “Rubber Soul” has the cut matrixes XEX 579-5 / XEX 580-5 and has the matrix number printed on the label aligned or misaligned to the datestamp. No tax code on labels. The mono covers of the 2nd pressing were manufactured by G & L or Ernest J. Day (this version). This E.J. Day sleeve has the words "TRADE MARK OF THE GRAMOPHONE CO. LTD." under the Parlophone logomark. Inner sleeve: Tracing-rice-paper-lined “Use Emitex” die-cut sleeve. There are at least two subtypes which feature differences in printing type in the song title and artist name. 1) One of them was printed in the "Times New Roman" Serif type (this version) 2) The remainder were printed in the "Sans Serif" type.
