Finding this copy of “The Beatles’ Second Album” with the rarest misprint indicating the “I CALL YOUR NAME” track on Side 2 as “I CALL YOU NAME” is practically impossible. For the past 2 years, this is the only copy with this misprint that we’ve come across with. The thing is that the 3rd revised label variation without the running time after “I Call Your Name” is incredibly rare by itself, but the “I Call You Name” misprint makes it even rarer, to the point that it becomes impossible to find it. The initial 1st run labels for this LP, which are the most commonly found, don’t have the running times for “Long Tall Sally” or “I Call Your Name” on Side 2. After Capitol Records received the tapes for these two tracks, the company revised the label copy by adding the times for the two tracks. When the BMI credit replaced the ASCAP credit for the “I Call Your Name”, Capitol once again revised its label copy, but only on the Stereo labels! The printer for the East Coast Stereo label not only changed ASCAP to BMI after “I Call Your Name”, but also dropped the running time for the song. Thus, the Stereo variation has the running time for “Long Tall Sally”, but not “I Call Your Name”. Yet, these revised labels have “I Call Your Name” misprinted as “I Call You Name”. Original 1st print Stereo cover contains the RIAA 3 number at the bottom right corner on the back, the identifier of the Scranton, PA pressing plant, and remains in the original factory shrink wrap. The album comes with an original light blue Capitol Records inner sleeve. Original Capitol Records ST-2080 Stereo catalog number 1.5” pressing ring black label with a multicolored spectrum ("Rainbow") band along the label's edge without the "subsidiary" print. Original 1st pressing East Coast, Scranton, PA issue with the “IAM in a Triangle” plant identifier in the runout groove on both sides. The full matrix numbers are as follows: Side 1 - ST-1-2080-A3 #2 IAM in a triangle P; Side 2 - ST-2-2080-A3 IAM in a triangle 1 1 P.

The cover is in beautiful Near Mint condition, just like the original Capitol blue inner sleeve. I grade the vinyl as Excellent for Side 1 and Near Mint Minus for Side 2. The vinyl has only a few very light barely noticeable non-feelable surface marks that don't affect the playback. The labels are in stunning Near Mint condition and don't have any spindle marks. The vinyl sounds great with just some very light occasional static, which most likely could get reduced or go away if the record is professionally cleaned using a VPI cleaning machine.
