THE BEATLES - 'SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND'
This superb sounding UK 1st MONO pressing dates from initial June 1967 release on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 7027
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK...' text, with a 'KT' purchase tax code in the centre of the side 1 label.
Matrix numbers: XEX 637-1 & XEX 638-1
Stamper codes: 2/OT & 4/OL
Vinyl weight: 155g
Housed within a fully laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed gatefold mono cover.
Complete with original unused cut-out sheet & red & white designer inner-sleeve.

A clean & unblemished pair with a small collection of very faint spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Immaculate unworn deep-gloss playing surfaces which are unmarked in strong daylight, with just a few very light wispy paper hairlines & a sparkling rainbow shine visible beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp.
Sound Quality: NEAR MINT
This copy has received minimal careful play only quality equipment and the sound throughout is completely unworn. My playcheck detected absolutely no trace of any groove/playwear distortion, even on the delicate 'She's Leaving Home'. Nor are there any ticks, clicks, pops or other such distractions. In fact, apart from a touch of low-level vinyl background on the long fade-out of 'A Day In The Life', it's hard to fault and will not disappoint.
Cover: EXCELLENT +
A fine example of this iconic cover type which would be tough to upgrade.
The front panel is vibrant & unfaded with a sparkling unworn/unscratched high-gloss laminate bearing just three 'thumbnail' wrinkles.
The corners are in great shape with only slight shelfwear bruising to the lower two, but no damage to any opening edge.
The rear panel is just as glossy and totally free from any 'thumbnails' or indeed any other trace of wear.
Both panels inside the gatefold are pristine with no damage or missing paper to the upper flipovers.
All seams of both pockets are smooth & unstressed.
The spine is clean & fully worded with no flaking or missing laminate to any part.
