The Beatles "Souvenir Of Their Visit To America" Vee Jay Records VJ EP 1-903 (1964)
Condition, Vinyl: Both sides black and glossy. Side 1has some superficial scratches on first track (see picture) Side 2 has something in the groove of track one that causes five soft clicks when playing the record (see picture). There is some soft surface noise as is to be expected in a fifty year old record. I doubt it was quiet even when new.
Condition, Cover: Some edge wear. Corners are bumped (see photos) but seams aren’t splitting except as seen in photo, where the lower bottom seam has about a 1.5” split. Little to no ringwear. One side has a small missing piece from where tape was attached (see photo) The other side has a little tape residue.
Please note I do not use standard record collector grading scales, which I find to be subject to be misleading and subject to grade inflation. I also actually listened to this record and gave my opinions—what on earth does visual grading tell you about the music on a record? Would I be disappointed with the condition of this record if I received it? No, given my caveats. Do I have any hesitations selling this record to someone? No.

The Beatles “Souvenir Of Their Visit To America” is a 1964 EP consisting of tracks from Please Please Me, which Vee Jay held the rights to until October of 1964, when rights to Beatles songs were assumed by Capitol Records. For that reason, this EP is scarce because Vee Jay was only able to sell it from its release in early 1964 until October 1964. Apparently there are bootleg copies of this record floating around but this is the genuine article.

Shipping details: Record will be shipped in a paper sleeve, but outside of the record jacket. Both the jacket and record are then put into a plastic sleeve and sandwiched between cardboard, then placed in a stiff cardboard mailer. Why? This prevents possible seam splitting of the jacket during shipping.
