Vintage Authentic 1964 U.S. Original Vee Jay VJEP-1-903 Cardboard Picture Sleeve and 45 rpm EP record.
VJ Black Label as opposed to their rainbow label
This is a very rare Beatles 45 rpm record. It was released by Vee Jay Records in March of 1965 to celebrate The Beatles visit to America. It contains 4 songs: Misery, Taste of Honey, Ask Me Why, and Anna.
This is very hard to find in any condition and rarely comes up for sale.
The Picture Sleeve cover is in Vg condition. It has no tears or rips. One side of the picture sleeve has light pencil mark lines in the word "The Beatles" (see photos). The pencil marks have been erased but close examination reveals slight indentations from the pencil point. This is why I grade it Vg. The vinyl is Vg+ condition. The vinyl inlays are in Ex condition, however one side has a small white sticker on it with the number 17.. The vinyl is bright and glossy.
PLEASE NOTE: The track "Misery" on the A side (first song) has one skip near the end of the song. It plays past the skip.
These are very difficult to find in any condition and values of these rare Beatles records are increasing.
A must for anyone wanting to complete their Beatles collection.
