Description
Thanks for visiting River City Records. Here is an incredibly rare copy of The Beatles - The Beatles (White Album). This is the Apple UK PMC 7067 / PMC 7068 Mono Pressing. As you can see in the pics attached this is a really low numbered early pressing (#020139). It is a top loader and the black sleeves are still present but are worn. This is the crossover pressing meaning this was released without the text 'An E.M.I. Recording' on Side 1 and 2, but with the text 'An E.M.I. Recording' on Side 3 and 4. So here are some details about the record.
1. As you can see from the pictures the sleeve does have some wear. There is a small section on the back of the sleeve that has been torn away. The good news is that the sleeve is still together and the front cover is very clean. The number is still very legible and prominent. I'd grade out the cover at G++.
2. The original black sleeves are still present. There is some tearing down the side of one of the hole openings. To preserve the original black sleeves I currently keep the records housed in separate white sleeves.
3. Now the vinyl itself - I just played it on my systems and it sounds much better than it looks. I've included pics of each side of the record. As you can see there is still great gloss and shine in these records. I would visually grade it in the G+ to VG- but play grade it higher than that. It's actually a very enjoyable listen. I listened to it twice on both of my systems. The ONLY issue I had was a hang up on "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" and it only happened on one of my turntables. On the other turntable both records played through just fine. It could be a weight issue but wanted to disclose it. Other than that these sound pretty darn good still.
4. There is a set of prints and a poster, however if you look closely you'll see that they have the "Printed in USA" stamp in the corner. So while they are present, my hunch is that they are not the original set.

This really is a great playing copy with a really low number. While it is not a perfect copy the records in this set play really well and it's the music that really is the star of this album anyways. It's still a great collector piece.
