Description

An original stereo 1st press of THE WHITE ALBUM on UK Apple. Matrix 1/1/1/2. Stampers [1-TH/3GRR&1-GP/1-TT]. Please note that all labels mention 'Sold In the UK..' and this is indicative of 1st press. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original stereo toploading 1st issue embossed and numbered sleeve [No.0345793]. Also included are both original black inner sleeves and the poster/lyric sheet. Sorry, NO photos....
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) In very nice condition and has seen relatively light use. Do expect a few light marks each side, and a couple of semi-feelable marks [side 2] which do sound briefly [details below]. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback on Disc 2 and VERYGOOD+ on Disc 1 with deviation. Ok, so first things first...very nice clean playback for the most part [four sides!] with just a couple of issues on Disc 1. Disc 2 is a very nice player indeed with very little to find fault with. There's nothing more significant than a touch of light static sporadically in 'Number 9' - it's a solid player. Disc 1 is still very nice for the most part, but there are one or two of those marks causing audible issue. On side 2 we're picking up a couple of loud pops briefly as 'Julia' starts. And then a few loud pops right at the end of 'I'm So Tired'. Providing you can live with these brief aberrations the remainder of the LP will thoroughly impress.
Cover (Ex) Very nice looking cover which has pretty much totally avoided the usual ageing process. Nice clean front and back with just a couple of creases in places. The interior continues this theme with pretty much faultless presentation. Edge wear is very light for an original WA. The spine is very nice too with all the text still legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. An impressive example for sure.
Inners (Vg+) No side splits. But expect a bit of wear at the openings and a couple of small rips at the die-cut openings.
Poster (Ex) No signs of ageing.. No splits either.
