Description
The BEATLES WHITE ALBUM
** 1968 FIRST PRESSING (UK)
NO. 0093674 MONO PMC 7067/8
LOW(ish) number cover, under 100,000!
Complete with BLACK die cut INNERS, 4 Portrait Photos, Large fold out POSTER. All originals, all in EXCELLENT condition.
The black die cut inners have no tears on the edges and some age handling wear and feathering at the top. Very nice examples! Both records will be stored in alternative inners to protect the originals.
The gatefold TOP OPENING cover has a slight crease in the laminate and card in the bottom right hand corners, but overall this 1968 example is in nice, clean condition with a clear spine.
Just a few minor bumps on the edges of the gatefold. For 47 years old this is an EXCELLENT example.
Sides 1 and 2: XEX 709-1 (5 LL) XEX 710-1 (7 LD) both sides show clear, clean vinyl with minor superficial marks. Audio is loud and clear with minor background noise.
The beginning of ‘I’m So Tired’ has a very slight skip on my record deck but I can’t see why. Excellent audio overall (despite the one hiccup on side 2).
The labels have some faint spindle trails visible but less than you would expect. Lovely clean examples on both sides.
Sides 3 and 4: XEX 711-1 (3 RR) XEX 712-1 (4 GAH)
Both sides play superbly on my system and even at LOUD volume hardly any noticeable clicks or ticks.
The vinyl has a nice clean sheen with minor superficial marks. EXCELLENT audio.
Both labels have minor spindle markings.
