Description

This is a copy of The Beatles classic White Album in awesome MONO from 1968. It's a first British Pressing and the cover is best described as being in very good condition, using Record Collector Magazine Gradings. The cover has some laminate wear down the side. The records look excellent and with only a few minor hairline markings that are seen in the light. The labels are very good + to excellent - with a handful of feint spindle marks. Additionally each record lies completely flat on the record eck, there is no warping at all. When played on my Pro-Ject record player with high end Ortofon stylus, the following notes were taken.
Side 1: the sound is very good + to excellent - and sometimes excellent. There are a couple of clicks at the start of Daer Prudence, otherwise it's VG+ to Ex- all the way and in particular excellent towards the end of side 1.
Side 2: This is generally VG+ to Ex - all the way, sometimes excellent particularly piggies and Rocky. Blackbird is the weakest sonically at very good.
Side 3: Strong! This is more like excellent but a couple of clicks into Mother Natures son.
Side 4: easily VG+ to Exc -, excellent in the louder parts. There was a couple of clicks at the start of Honey Pie and a split second of crackle in Cry Baby Cry. Goodnight was the weakest track at VG.
The inner bags are the black originals. One of them has a small 2cm tear at the top. Unfortunately the posters and the lyric sheet are no longer with this copy as my dad put them on his bedroom wall when he was a teenager! This copy has been in the family since Xmas 1968 and it's number 612467.
