Description
The Beatles - White Album - Mono Original
This was the Beatles tenth official LP that they released - and their first double album on the apple label . The real name of this album is "The Beatles" but soon became known as the white album , this was the Beatles first album with solo material on it and some of the tracks are recorded like that , e.g. "julia" was John's solo recording.
The beatles had over a quarter of a million advance orders for this album , and it went straight into the number one slot , where it stayed for seven weeks in a row , and was the only double album to also enter the singles chart in one month this album sold 4 million copies worldwide and had global sales by 1970 of around 6.5 million copies .
The sleeve was designrd by Richard Hamilton , who suggested a minimalistic approach and numbered sleeves . Original copies have a top opening sleeve and black paper inner sleeves.
The cover for this album is in excellent order - well looked after
The labels are again in excellent condition as is the vinyl and black inner sleeve's ,
Number - 252444
This would be a great addition to any collection.
Please check back for beatles items i am selling over the next few months - some will be " as new " condition - including various ( A Demo's )
