This early UK 1st MONO pressing dates from initial November 1968 release on the Apple Records label: PMC 7067/8

All labels carry the 'Sold in UK...' and 'An EMI Recording' texts.

A 'KT' purchase tax code is present on the side 2 label with a 'KJT' code on label 4.

Disc 1: EXCELLENT +  Disc 2: EXCELLENT +

All are bright & undamaged with light spindle trails to each. Some faint age-related marks are visible on label 2 at a certain angle but there is no writing or missing paper anywhere.

 Both Visually: EXCELLENT

All playing surfaces are clean & retain their 'as new' deep-gloss shine. Strong daylight shows up one or two insignificant light surface marks but nothing deep or feelable. Close examination beneath halogen light reveals some wispy paper-type hairlines caused by removal from the unforgiving matt inner-sleeves, but there is nothing we would call a scratch. Both discs lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.

Audio: EXCELLENT +

We rarely list mono copies of this album because decent sounding discs are extremely hard to find. However these discs are an exception - carefully played on quality equipment only, the sound throughout both is clean & unworn with no crackle or groove/peak wear distortion. Our careful play-check at volume detected just a trace of low-level vinyl background the very quietest spots, but no clicks, pops or any other such distractions. If you are looking for a mono copy to enjoy, you will not be disappointed with this set.

Cover: EXCELLENT +

Just as hard to find as a good sounding set of discs, is a clean, unworn, low-numbered cover. This particular example fits the bill on all those counts. Stored since purchase in a protective cover in a smoke-free environment, all aspects of this example are clean, glossy and un-yellowed. Both front and rear panels are bright & glossy with no 'thumbnail' wrinkles or spine bends. There is a hint of shelfwear to the lower corners but no heavy bumps and all of the top opening edges are clean & undamaged. The relatively low number is clear & readable. Both inside panels are immaculate. There is a small split to the laminate over the lower-end wording, otherwise it is fully intact and all of the spine text is readable. All seams are smooth & unstressed making this one of the better preserved covers you will find.

Clean & uncreased with just a small scuff on John from the factory.

Photo protector sheet: EXCELLENT

White & uncreased but with a couple of water spots and slight foxing.

Poster: MINT

Unhung & clean. Appears never to have never been unfolded.

Black inner-sleeves: NEAR MINT
