Description
The Beatles
Yesterday and Today
Capitol / Stereo / 1966 / RIAA Los Angeles "5"
Infamous Beatles record with the ‘Trunk’ slick pasted over the ‘Butcher’ slick so in an 'unpeeled' state.?
The main part of the sleeve, front and back (including the spine) are in amazing condition. It’s the whitest sleeve for this record that I’ve ever seen, the only drawback is the opening, which over the years has browned the edge front and back. It’s more visible on the back (see photos). This is due to the damaged shrink wrap that was on previously. The sleeve has been in a 12" re-seal sleeve since purchase.?
The butcher cover is visible more now with age as you can see Ringo’s V neck in good light. You will also see the slight mismatch from the paste over at the bottom edge of the sleeve. You can also see the shape of the slick underneath and the darkness of that sleeve is now more noticeable through the white.
Comes with original Capitol inner sleeve, also in a re-seal sleeve and a high resolution scan of the Butcher slick.?
The 2nd state stereo copy is a much sought after Beatles record. Some people will get the Trunk slick removed at a cost – making it the third slick technically but research has shown that the second slick stereo copies are getting rarer, especially in this condition.
I didn’t show pictures of the record but it’s in excellent condition visually, I haven’t played it.
