1) The Beatles vinyl lp With The Beatles Parlophone PMC1206 black and yellow label mono

Matrix XEX447-5N / XEX448-5N

Vinyl is Very Good-. Some background crackle. One or two pops but not many at all. I've listened to this in full to grade it. You can listen to Side 1.
Flipback sleeve is Good (Heavy creasing. It has under gone repairs which have been done quite well). Inner sleeve is a white paper EMI inner.

2) The Beatles vinyl lp The Beatles White Album Apple PCS7068 Top opening. Numbered on front No.0426145. Stereo stamped on rear of sleeve.

Vinyls are Very Good....after listening to one side only
Gatefold sleeve is Good+ (Creases on spine and indentations). Inner sleeve are EMI white paper inners. No extras eg photos.

3) The Beatles Monthly Book March 1967 #44. 30 pages and water damaged so it's in poor condition but most pages are legible.

For both lps I've listened to so far:- I've heard no scratches or jumps but you can expect to hear background crackle and the odd pop.

Summary:- Starter or collection filler condition not to be used on high end hi-fi! although generally in slightly better condition than my previous The Beatles job lot...................very reasonable starting price with only £5.50 P&P to UK.

4) NB I'll also add A Hard Day's Night but this looks in poor condition and I haven't played it yet. I'll update the listing with details.

This have been cleaned on a Okki Nokki RCM FREE for the buyer.

Grading system used:-

Mint (M) The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Near Mint (NM) The record looks brand new with no scuffing or any deterioration in sound quality and only the smallest hint that its ever been played. The cover and any additional extras are clean, crisp and with no wear whatsoever.

Excellent (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good (VG) The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

Fair (F) The record is still just about playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or
defaced.

Poor (P) The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

On 21-Jun-13 at 21:01:58 BST, seller added the following information:

After listening to The White Album in full it is graded as below:-

Side 1 Very Good-

Side 2 Good+ (noticeable but light scratch over Julia. A few pops)

Side 3 Very Good- (including a short scratch over Long Long Long)

Side 4 Good (Pops. Scratch over Cry Baby Cry)

All 4 sides have some background crackle which is more obvious on some sides than others

-----------------

A Hard Day's Night. I've played most of this.

This plays better than it looks. There were just a handful of pops with background crackle noticeable between tracks. Plays VG- to G+. I didn't find any scratches.

Matrix XEX481-3N / XEX482-3N

Sleeve is Good+.
