Description
The Beatles. Revolver. U.K. Mono L.P. PMC 7009. Black and Yellow Parlophone label. With much rarer Ernest.J.Day & Co.Ltd. large flip backs sleeve with very small solid black "mono" logo. Original Emitex polythene lined inner sleeve. Upper case "THE GRAMOPHONE CO.LTD......" around the label edge. With upper case "SOLD IN THE U.K. SUBJECT TO...." above the centre hole. With matrix numbers, (XEX.605) on the A side label, and, (XEX.606) on the B side label.
The information in the dead wax run out areas are as follows : A side reads XEX 605 - 2 with stampers O , and 2. The B side reads XEX 606 - 1 with stampers M H , and 2.
This is the now much sought after, and very scarce, mono first issue with the famous "remix 11" of "Tomorrow Never Knows" that only exists on this issue's pressing.The overall condition is a very strong VG+++. The vinyl has a couple of very light surface marks on the A side and one scratch on the B side that starts at the end of track 5, through track 6, and ends in track 7. Otherwise, the vinyl and is very bright and clean. The labels are crisp and clean with no writing, tape stains, or marks of any kind, except a couple of spindle marks around the centre hole on both sides. The inner sleeve is the original Emitex sleeve that was supplied with the record when new, and has no tears or splits to either the paper bag or cellophane liner. There is very slight yellowing due to the age. The opening edge is also in excellent condition. The outer sleeve's condition is excellent and close to mint. There are no folds, splits, tears, tape marks, or writing of any kind anywhere. There is no ring wear on the sleeve. The sheen is still glossy on the front cover and carries over to the flip backs. The spine is clean and stiff. For someone who was looking for a super example of this very rare and collectable record to add to their collection, this would be an ideal opportunity. This is offered for sale with no reserve price.
