Description

An original 1st MONO press of BEST OF on UK JOY from 1966. Monster heavy pressing. The vinyl comes housed in an original cover with flips. WEIRDLY quite a difficult hits Lp to pick up. No idea why...I mean it's Hooker....there's some amazing songs laid down here.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In really very nice condition and has only seen light  use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks per side, one very superficial trail - nothing troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly  EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of slight deviations per side. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Good clean feed by and large. Lovely mono rolling off this copy. One imagine many copies will have been played to death. But this one has survived in excellent order. Which means the lowkey acoustic numbers have a quiet background and still have that magic ambiance. Expect a couple of ticks in one isolated spot per side. And the odd few crackles in a couple of very brief spots per side. Other than expect one very enticing rendition. Moody as hell. Don't let this classic pass you by...
Cover (Vg+) The front looks smart with just a few laminate creases. What is nice is the rear hasn't aged much. Flipbacks are all intact and secure.  The spine is 99% intact. The cover still retains excellent rigidity.
