~ Cancon Vinyl Auctions ~ You are bidding on this Ultra Rare STEREO Lp by The Brunswick Playboys ( THE BP'S) on Excellent Records ESP-109, original Canadian Lp  from 1966.

A FANTASTIC and super ultra rare original Canadian Lp that many hard core Canadian garage collectors are trying to find...without any luck.
This release had a very limited pressing ( less than 500 copies) and was produced by Alex Sherman - the very same record producer who brought you the killer garage band track "Turn Him Down" by The Skaliwags.
Hailing from New Brunswick, this band is known for their styled recording renditions of Beatle and Buddy Holly like tunes.
Not a true garage Lp in the real sense except for track 1 on side 1 entitled  "On The Outside Looking In" which is hauntingly familiar on many chords to that of a Beatle's unreleased garage track with sizzling hard keyed echoed electric guitar chord strokes.
They do a fabulous cover of the Beatle's song entitled "It's Only Love" and they flawlessly play other tracks on this lp with a great Buddy Holly rockabily feel... and the echoed electric guitar strokes are second to none to these tracks also.
Also too are 4 or 5 intrumental numbers which "Shadows" lovers  will really enjoy.
This group also released 4 45's which are also impossible to find - especially the 2 garage punk ones entitled "Too Blind To See" and "On The Outside Looking In" ( which is on this Lp).

The scans reveal  the fine detailed overall condition of the original front and rear cover slicks  including the detailed condition on all the outside edges of the covers.
Overall, I would honestly grade the condition of this original cover a shade better than VG+ when compared to a true near mint copy which I still haven't  found.

This copy does show some signs of cover wear ring and general wear and light aging on the outside edges of the front and rear covers.
The front cover slick has a nice clean appearance with crisp bright colors. Keep in mind that these covers were manufactured with a frosted silver and gold base ink which caused premature wear from handling and storage.
The rear cover is in outstanding condition with crisp black writing except for some light outer paper slick aging.
The cover spine and seams are nicely intact except for some spotted color fading and light paper loss.
Best of all is the super clean labels and the fabulous vinyl which is very close to near mint except for 2 or 3 very light small paper sleeve marks.
