Description

An original 1st press of LC on the UK Columbia label in 1979. Matrix A1/B1/C2/C2. Please note 1st press on LC is easily established by looking in the deadwax on Side 4. Track 5 'Train In Vain' was finished late-on as they were about to go to the press and the labels do not mention track 5 - the only hint is the inscription in the deadwax. The vinyl comes housed in an original cover printed  by Shorewood. Please note the cover makes no mention of track 5 on side 4 - proof once again of 1st issue. Also included are the oriignal lyric inner sleeves. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex) In great condition and have only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection there are a few light marks on each side - nothing remotely troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is, thankfully, very minor and infrequent. All we could detect was a couple of crackles briefly in the odd isolated moment. A great player by any standard and one of the all time great LPs.
Cover (Ex-) In great shape and has clearly been looked after down the years. These soft-card covers can often take a bit of a beating, but this example looks to have been preserved to a high standard. Nice and clean front with only a couple of tiny creases. The rear is in nice condition and doesn't seem to have aged - just a bit surface dirt in the odd place. Edge wear is very light and the text on the spine is all legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and would be difficult to improve upon.
Inner (Vg+) Only one 2 inch bottom edge slit. Bit of ageing in places. A small opening edge rip.
