Description
I would grade the record and the label at near mint. It plays great. The label is very clean with no hand writing on it. Nice overall record from my collection
Record has not been played very many times. I obtained it in 1965 and I may have played it once or twice. Then it went into storage for 50 plus years. Record Plays and looks great. The record surface is nice and shiny showing no signs of wear.
A very rare hard to find record.
5 man group based in the New York city area. Their early 1965 debut single is perhaps their best next to the 1966 Mercury label 45, “White Ship”. As great as that disc is, “I’m Your Man” combines the (then) influential merseybeat element with a tuff, punky attitude. Moody and go-go dance swingin’ all the way, from start to finish. The flipside is a remake of the Lee Dorsey R&B hit, not bad, but hardly compares to the better side. Check it out on youtube .
