THE DOORS - SELF TITLED (1967) | ORIGINAL MONO FIRST PRESSING
This is an authentic 1967 Mono copy of The Doors' debut album. For many collectors, the Mono mix is the "Holy Grail" version because it features a more cohesive, powerful sound than the Stereo panning of the era.
Technical Pedigree:
• Label: Gold/Tan Elektra "Big E" logo (First State).
• Catalog #: EKL-4007.
• Matrix Marks: Hand-etched "P" (Columbia Pitman Pressing Plant) and stamped "o" (Customatrix plating) in the dead wax.
• Variation: Features the "Harms Co." publishing credit for Alabama Song.
Condition Details:
• Media: The vinyl retains a nice luster. It has been play-tested and sounds fantastic on the loud tracks ("Break On Through", "Light My Fire"). Expect some light crackle in the quietest transitions, but it provides a very satisfying listening experience.
