Description
Just recently I bought a massive collection of 60's and 70's LPs...some are in surprisingly immaculate condition, and some are not, but the original owner (a well-respected Australian vinyl hoarder) was a fastidious collector of the styles he loved - 60's beat/punk/garage, British invasion well-knowns [Beatles/Hollies/Dave Clark 5/Gerry & The Pacemakers/Zombies/Troggs/Rolling Stones, etc..], 70's West Coast sounds, pop-psych and he'd obviously forraged far and wide since there's a flurry of unique South American, New Zealand,Taiwanese, South African, Japanese releases amongst them all.
Here then, is one of the LPs from his collection:
"HOLDING ON"...Canadian LP…original first pressing…STEREO…on Polydor Special…(2495 004)…
condition: [cover first, then record]: VG++ / EX...very shiny vinyl...has just a small few, very light scuffs/'hair-line' marks only...plays so close to mint!...just a couple of super light crackles only...truly beautiful copy!...cover has minor scuffing in corners, and light ringwear, plus a small promo (deletion?) hole in the top left corner...
This is the Canadian version of the "Friends" album...10 tracks, all are originals...ALL the songs creditted to 'Russell' as songwriter, for this album were, in fact, written by Vanda & Young, one of which has been creditted to 'Leon Russell' on the back cover...and on the labels.
Labels are mint!...has NO spindle marks on either side....looks like it's barely been played at all....
