Description

The Genius of Charlie Parker - Savoy jazz LP by Charlie Parker. 1955 collection of recordings from the mid- to late-40s. Parker plays with Miles Davis, Duke Jordan, Max Roach, Bud Powell, Dizzy Gillespie and many others on them. Essential jazz stuff! This is the first Savoy pressing with the dark picture on the cover, red labels, no "Hi Fi" text on labels.
Vinyl is VG. Several light marks on each side but nice shine. Plays fantastic. There are a few numbers written in pen on one of the labels.  Jacket is VG+. A little bit of peeling on the front. No splits. There is a 1"x2" label sticker on the back cover. Also a tape mark and the same numbers written again in pen. A very nice copy of a great album!
