What else needs to be said? This is one of the pivotal albums in the history of the West Coast and Psychedelic 1960's. Although technically recorded in 1972, this is a prime-time slab of vintage psychedelia, replete with 'magma' light show and related sound- and visual effects. The triple album - unavailable in its original vinyl form for decades - is one of the critical pieces in understanding the role Billy Grahan and Fillmore East played in the development of the contemporary American music. The set includes the cream of the crop of the great American Bands, unleashing their rapid fire in the soon-to-be-closed Fillmore auditorium. Miss it now, and weep later.
