Description

I cannot find any definitive information on The Malibu's or Surf Records.  This might be a "one and done" for the band and the label.  It certainly sounds like West Coast and, given it was released in 1962, that would be my guess.  Writing credits are to B. Becker and P. Strosky.  Both sides are instrumentals and the musicianship is quite good, so perhaps it was a studio band?  In any event, the vinyl grades VG+:  there are a few stray, light marks but nothing that can be felt; it still has excellent gloss and both sides give a solid VG++ play, bright and loud.  A-side label is VG+: clean white label with "real good" written on it in ink; graphics and logo are clean and bright. B-side label is VG: rubbing rings, probably from storage because it does not look like this has been played a lot; logo and graphics are solid.  Definitely an obscure piece of early 60's surf, and a very presentable copy.
