Great rare 45's in EX condition! RARE PIC SLEEVES and most others are in original stock sleeves!
These promos are not part of the "tote" collection, but were in an original promo shipment box from RCA, with the Elvis 45 and some other ones that weren't as interesting. They were all from the same shipment at the same date, showing the output of the assorted labels associated with RCA at that point in time. Kind of an interesting time capsule! A person asked how if they are unplayed, they aren't in MINT- as they are listed in EX. This is because 45's aren't sealed and can be stacked, browsed and receive some casual surface wear even through their sleeves… this is quite common even for unplayed 45's like this, that weren't played by the radio station they were sent to, as they were the wrong music format, or just didn't make the grade. This is fortunate, though, because if they were played, they would have more wear and a stock number and stickers on the label as well, another common practice at stations of the era.

These were all kept in the most ideal of conditions, in a small 45 TOTE, which makes them virtually free from airborne particles, sun fading, minimal wear from handling or oxidation as well… The totes came with small catalog stickers, which are applied to some of the jackets as well, and these are WATER BASED, postage stamp style stickers, that can be removed with no issues with a little patience, a little water and a lot of CARE in doing so! Take your time and you can get these back to NM examples, or at least free from the stickers. The price codes and other stickers, which used a "gum" style adhesive, will actually be easier to remove, as they are petroleum based adhesives and can be removed, the adhesive can be dissolved and softened, with REGULAR OLD FASHIONED LIGHER FLUID! Naptha (probably misspelled) is the secret ingredient that is mostly what lighter fluid is, and the solute for these stickers! You can use this info and pass it on to whoever may need it! Just soak the sticker in the fluid, wait a while and slowly and carefully peel it off. Any residue left can be dissolved with the same fluid. At first you may see a darkened area from the fluid, but it will evaporate in a short while. BUT, you may encounter some discoloration from the stickers themselves, which there's not a lot you can do about… but working fast is the best thing to do, as once you dissolve the adhesive it will possibly soak into the sleeve and cause more discoloration. Try this technique on some other less valuable records to get a feel for the best technique before you try it on the ones you treasure. good luck and thanks for your business!
