Description
DESCRIPTION: This is a 1971 UK original stereo pressing of 'Every Good Boy Deserves Favour' by The Moody Blues. This was released on the Threshold label, but what makes this one unique is that it is a factory sample which was pressed for review or promotional purposes only. Both sides of the record have '3W' matrix numbers, and both sides have been pressed from the very first ('1') mothers and the very first ('B') stampers.
The vinyl looks near-mint under normal lighting. Under a bright LED light, I can see a few, superficial scuffs and sleeve-removal hairlines, but these do nothing. The vinyl plays loud and clear - wonderfully dynamic with no loud pops, repeating tics, skips or background crackle.
The textured gatefold cover is in excellent condition for its age. There is a faint impression of the record on the rear and some light rubbing on the seams. The spine is slightly squashed, but there are no splits and the spine text is clear and legible.
Comes complete with the lyric insert which shows signs of handling, but there are no folds or tears. Also includes the original blue-and-white poly-lined inner sleeve, which has all seams intact and the correct '1-71' (January 1971) date code.
GRADING: Unless a record is sealed, I play-grade everything on a high-end turntable. My grading is strict, so even if you are buying a 'VG+' record from me, the chances are that you are actually buying a very nice keeper copy. Nevertheless, grading is quite subjective; so, if you feel that I haven't graded something properly, please contact me immediately. As a collector of vinyl myself, I know how important customer satisfaction is and I will do everything I can to resolve any issues.

PACKAGING: I do not charge for packaging costs. All records are packed well in sturdy record mailers with additional cardboard for protection. To prevent any seam splits during transit, I always ensure that records are packed outside of their covers.
