OK... so where do I begin? It was a sunny tuesday afternoon in 1978 (April I think...) I was at work...leaning against the counter top of the solitary record store in Crawley... listening no doubt to either Prag Vec or The Mekons... manager off out somewhere and assistant manager on one of her endless teabreaks... me in charge? that was simply asking for trouble. Suddenly outside I noticed a black mini pull up on the double yellow lines and its driver stumble out....  "Here they are" he mumbled.. "Yeah.. er... we can take a box of 25... its been authorised" It hadnt of course...how to explain to my boss that I had just accepted a handful of singles on SOR as a consequence of a drunken conversation  in The Rocket the night before. But somehow I would get around all of that.
And so Robert... From one Smith to another... it was fun times to be sure...much more than that in fact.. but...it was several lifetimes ago... and here I am...still stumbling around but in massive debt... I hope you will excuse me therefore for selling the copy that you gave me free of charge,,, I never thought Id say these words...
So I am selling my copy of the Obtainers single...please dont ask if its an original...and yes... at present I am using a stock photo as my camera is broken and I need to get it up here whilst ebay fees are reduced... but proper photos to follow... What do you get (what do i get?) The vinyl.... in excellent condition.. The original white sleeve The original PVC outer with Obtainers sticker still attached. Another sticker and info sheet. All in wonderful condition...
I will ONLY sell to UK or via Ebay GSP so please check to make sure that your country participates in this scheme.
And if it doesnt sell? Well... I will be kinda glad really...
