Electra Records ELK-294 (mono)

Matrix No: ELK-294-UK-B and ELK-294-UK-A

It’s 1965 the British blues boom is in full swing sweeping across America in the wake of the success of the Rolling Stones. America is waking up and starting to discover its own blues heritage.

They bounce back with The Paul Butterfield Blues Band featuring Paul on vocal and harmonica and the amazing Mike Bloomfield on guitar.  He was easily the match for Eric Clapton at the time.  Mike later went on to play with Bob Dylan when the moved from folk to an electric band – a move which turned the world of music upside down.

The cover of this record is in excellent plus condition with no marks or creasing.  There is very little discolouration on the back.

There are a few superficial marks on the vinyl but it plays beautifully.

It states on the cover ‘We suggest you play this record at the highest possible volume in order to fully appreciate the sound of the Paul Butterfield Blues Band’.

This is as true today as it was in 1965.  This is a great blues blast from the past.

I purchased this record as new at the time but I am now selling my vinyl record collection due to lack of space.
