Description
Hello! This is an auction for a copy of the first mono pressing of The Psychedelic Sounds of The 13th Floor Elevators on International Artists, catalogue number IA-LP-1. This is the rare original 1966 pressing. The record with this copy has some significant scuffing and scratching to it, but like most copies of this record, it plays a lot better than it looks. The cover is a mess, with heavy mold damage, strong tearing, strong staining, splitting, creasing, and other similar wear. That said, it’s the very rare three-column cover, and it has a stamp that reads “FOR BROADCAST NOT FOR SALE”. The person I got this from said they had upgraded their promo copy with a better 3-column cover, so I think this isn’t the original cover for this copy. This is a rough copy of this rare release, but these aren’t seen often at all anymore, and this record is very playable. Good luck!
