Record is EX. No booklet. 1984 UK release on WSNS Records (WSNS 002)


This is a release by Jordi Valls (aka Vagina Dentata Organ, VDO) from mid-80s. The record contains sermons by Reverend Jim Jones along with singing of the People´s Choir. Some parts of the record were taken from the original People´s Temple Choir record while other parts are from the original on-location recordings during the mass suicide. The original picture disc was a numbered edition of 912 copies, one copy for each dead person. This record is number 688.


Apparently the tapes were obtained through Monte Cazzaza and Genesis P. Orridge of Psychic TV. They are the live recording of the last moments of life while the members are all drinking the poison and dying at the People’s Temple in the remote jungle in Jonestown, Guyana on November 18, 1978. This picture disc features graphic photos of dead bodies from the massacre. More lo-fi than hi-fi.
